Downtown Jacksonville is a print of a commission I was hired to create for the Museum of Science and History (MOSH) in downtown Jacksonville. The painting was presented to their departing Executive Director Maria Haynes for her retirement. The museum wanted to include the shipyard where the new museum will reside once it is built. M. Haynes was instrumental in raising funds for the new museum.
A friend of mine took multiple aerial shots using a drone of the downtown area to give me enough reference material to complete the work.
